Recently designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Mistaken Point is home to the first fossils of the oldest complex multi-cell organisms ever found on earth; older even that tyrannosaurus rex who was with us 65 million years ago. These specimens are proof that life began at sea. The only way to visit the site is with the guides that know the area well. The small group (12 people) will hike to the site taking approximately 45 minutes each way, plus the time spent observing the fossils and cliffs. With the addition of the picnic lunch we will provide it will be a most memorable day dining a top a piece of history.
