A walking/talking folklore experience with  local storyteller Tony Power that will have you looking over your shoulder long after you have left our shores. With many Newfoundlanders having roots in Ireland,  the fascination with fairies and ghost stories might be in our genes. Or maybe these tales are more than just stories … Whatever the case, there are folks that swear that what they saw on a misty eve was as real as the nose on their face.

We are known for our fog in these parts but it will only elevate this tour to spookier heights. As you are regaled with stories of fairies and ghost ships, be sure to watch out for what your guide speaks of. To protect yourself from being taken by the wee fey folk, we will provide you with a piece of bread for your pocket. Turning your socks inside out will be left up to you. With the dozens of shipwrecks that have happened just off our shores, it is no surprise that there have been ghost ships spotted in the mists.

This early evening two hour(ish) tour takes you on an easy hike at various local focal points. It all depends on how spirit moves our guide. You can expect more than just ghost stories from our gifted storyteller Tony Power. By day he works at the Mistaken Point Ecological reserve and will be pointing out local flora,  fauna, and how the locals used them back in the day.  By night he spins ghost and fairy tales from Trepassey and beyond. You will find him to be a jovial, warm, and captivating guide who is also full of hospitality– just what Newfoundlanders are known for. This experience will include your chance to become an honourary Newfoundlander with a traditional screech in ceremony.  You may need some Screech (Newfoundland Rum) after your ghostly walk …
